The Excellent Diet For Big Biceps: Foods That Women Should Be Avoiding

Posted on 06. Jun, 2012 by in Big Biceps

Not a lot of women want big, bulging biceps, the way that men do. In fact, there is a bigger proportion in the industry of women trying to slim and tone down their biceps than those who would want otherwise. And besides getting a sculpted and small waist, a slim and toned arm is a priority fitness goal for the female species.

While there are women who try to trim down their arms to into sleeveless tops and tight sleeve dresses, there are still some who do want big biceps, probably because of one of two things: they are so thin that they want to put on some mass and avoid looking like a walking stick, or their body is disproportional and they wish to match their total body size with that of their arms.

But whatever the case may be, whether women want big muscles for themselves or just for their man, or whether they like to just tone their arms or pump them up big time, there is a way to improve the muscular structure of the arms. And by way of improvement, it means in terms of the physical appearance and capabilities. And in terms of the way—the way is through the stomach.

Big biceps, toned triceps, or simply strong arms—whatever the reason may be for lifting a few pounds of weights every week, nobody can meet her muscle building goals without a change or improvement in her diet. Until one switches from the traditional carb loaded diet to the high protein diet, even the most excellent bicep workout will be a waste of time and effort.

So, to avoid the nuisance of failed expectations and futile hard work, below listed are the foods that women should watch out for, and ditch entirely from their bicep enhancing diet.

Egg yolk. If there’s such a saying as, ‘An apple a day, keeps the doctor away,’ then there’s also a variation of that saying that may not be as popular, but just as true: ‘A serving of egg white a day, keeps a doctor away.’

Sure, the protein content of eggs in any body building diet is a must, no kidding about that. Unfortunately, though, eggs are not made up of just protein—it has fats, pretty much a lot of it, and even sometimes the leading cause of blockage in the arteries, resulting a few too many times in high cholesterol. Luckily though, this fat content is distinguishable from the protein content, and can even be separated entirely from itself for a healthy diet.

The egg yolk may be parted from the egg white either before or after cooking it. Whichever the case is, eating eggs in the morning is a healthy habit, especially the egg white, which contains nine (9) essential amino acids that make up the protein in the body.

As for the egg yolk, it is better to be on the safe side and ditch it entirely, even if it contains a lot of nutrients such as iron, zinc, and folate. Multivitamin supplements are the healthier and cheaper choice, compared to the yolks—same nutrient content at a low price, without the risk of serious heart ailments.

Chicken skin. Chicken is a meat product that is high in protein yet low in fat. It also contains other healthy nutrients such as vitamin A (even in just small amounts), calcium, and iron, plus it is also a very tasty part of any diet.

However, the chicken skin is the biggest contributor to its fat content, thus the need to get rid of it in a low fat diet. The removal of the skin may be done before or after cooking. The down side of a skinless chicken meal is a bland taste. To account for this blandness, it is recommended to strip the skin off before cooking, rather than after, also to avoid wasting handfuls of cooking and flavoring products. Eating healthy surely comes with a price, but not a hefty one.

Fried foods. It is no surprise that fried foods made it to this list, and all because of the unhealthy fat content that frying contributes to countless healthy foods. Butter, oil, shortening—whatever they may be called, they are all unhealthy fats that should definitely be dropped off any healthy diet.

If there is one consolation for a healthy, bicep building, nutritious diet, it is that the benefits far exceed that of which the eyes can see. Strong arms that can carry on any task and can protect herself or others from danger are just two good reasons for a woman to opt to enhance her biceps and triceps.
